The Central Election Commission said that the turnout for re-by-election elections in 21 places nationwide, including Seoul and Busan, was 45.1% as of 5 pm.
This is a number including the pre-voting that was conducted on the last 2-3 days.
As of 3 PM, the turnout rate is 7.1 percentage points higher than the 38.0% turnout at the time of the April 3 revival in 2019.
The voter turnout for the mayor of Seoul was 47.4%, and the voter for the mayor of Busan was 42.4%.
So far, about 5.48 million out of the total of 12.1 million voters have finished voting.
