Munich (dpa / lby) - After the Easter holidays, the incidence values of several municipalities in Bavaria have been below 100 for three days in a row - that is, the cities and districts concerned are allowed to release the so-called Corona emergency brake.

For those regions where the number fluctuates around 100, this may mean a quick change between locking and opening.

The "Corona emergency brake" are allowed to release - according to the figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) from Tuesday - for example the districts of Weilheim-Schongau, Starnberg, Rosenheim, Erlangen-Höchstadt and the city of Coburg.

However, the RKI points out that the number of infections on public holidays may be reported with a delay by the health authorities and that fewer people may also be tested.

In the city of Munich, for example, the "Corona emergency brake" came into effect on Easter Sunday, which is why museums and the Hellabrunn Zoo had to close and the nightly curfew was between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

But because the incidence value between Saturday and Monday - the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - was below 100 again, the tightened measures will be relaxed again from Wednesday.

A spokeswoman said that Munich, like all other independent cities and districts in the Free State, is bound by the requirements of the Infection Protection Measures Ordinance.

The procedure for incidence-dependent regulations is clearly defined there.

"There is no room for maneuver for the city of Munich."
