A Palestinian youth was killed and his wife was seriously injured after the occupation army shot them while they were inside their vehicle, Tuesday morning.

Al-Jazeera Net correspondent Atef Douglas reported that the martyr came from a village northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

The official Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said that the Israeli army shot the car the Palestinian couple was traveling in near the village of Bir Nabala, northwest of the holy city.

She added that dozens of Israeli army cars stormed the villages of Bir Nabala and Al-Jib villages tonight and dawn today, and clashes broke out at the place.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the martyr is named Osama Sidqi Mansour, 42, who was shot in the head, in Bir Nabala town, west of Ramallah, and arrived in critical condition at the Palestine Medical Complex Governmental Hospital in Ramallah.

The ministry also stated that the martyr’s wife was hit by a bullet in the back, but described her condition as stable.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera Net, journalist Mutassim Saqf Al-Hayit said that the initial conversation was about direct fire at the martyr's vehicle while he, his wife and children were inside it in the town of Bir Nabala, and that information indicated that his presence there coincided with the presence of the Israeli army in the village.
