Karlsruhe (dpa) - The 2nd Bundesliga is threatened with a deadline bottleneck in the end of the season due to a corona quarantine of the Karlsruher SC.

As the sixth of the table announced on Tuesday, a player had a positive test for the Sars-CoV-2 virus.

The health department then ordered the team to be quarantined for 14 days until April 20.

After the club donations, the rescheduling of three games must now be requested from the German Football League (DFL).

This concerns the games against Fortuna Düsseldorf (April 10th), Erzgebirge Aue (April 17th) and Hamburger SV (April 20th).

The player who tested positive has no symptoms, as the Karlsruhe team announced.

Two professionals from the club had already tested positive last week.

They were infected with the virus outside of the team, it said.
