Bremen (dpa / lni) - Without a negative Corona rapid test, students in Bremen are no longer allowed to take part in face-to-face classes after the Easter holidays.
The Senate decided on Tuesday.
"In classroom school operations, it is necessary to identify infected children, adolescents and employees as early as possible," said Senator for Education Claudia Bogedan (SPD).
"The rapid tests offer a safe, low-threshold and easy-to-use solution."
Tests are carried out in schools twice a week.
After the experience with voluntary tests before the vacation, the procedure is problem-free.
At that time, however, too few students took part to guarantee real protection, said the education department.
It was also decided to wear a mask in the school building for primary school students.
In contrast to the higher age groups, they were previously excluded.
The mask requirement in primary schools applies from an incidence of 100 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week.
A week before the start of school (April 12th) the city of Bremen had an incidence of just over 100, Bremerhaven a little below 200.
