This is called an arrival with great pomp.
Genesis, a subsidiary of automaker Hyundai, celebrated its arrival in the Chinese market with a visual spectacle produced using 3,281 drones.
The event took place this Friday in Shanghai (China).
This feat was recorded as a new world record in the category "unmanned aircraft in simultaneous flight" by the Guinness Book, reports
Presse-Citron
.
A previous record with 3,051 drones
With the help of these thousands of drones, the brand displayed its logo as well as various other animations.
Genesis has even managed to reproduce some of its car models in the sky, such as the G80 sedan or the GV80 SUV.
Genesis is the luxury division of Hyundai, launched in 2015. The brand prides itself on offering "dynamic design, athletic performance, truly high-end customer service and a driving experience adapted to European roads", explained in September 2020 Dominique Boesch, Managing Director of Genesis Europe.
Genesis thus broke the previous record for a simultaneous flight of drones, achieved last September by Shenzhen Damoda Intelligent Control Technology, specifies
Phonandroid
.
The company specializing in the creation, manufacture and sale of drones had flown 3,051 drones simultaneously to offer a light show to the inhabitants of Zhuhai (China).
