Called to intervene Friday evening in Décines (Rhône) at the home of a 42-year-old man who "seemed to break everything in his apartment", the Lyon police had a lot to do.

The individual, alone at home, was hitting a table with a chopper.

On the arrival of the crew, he began to threaten the officers with death, who were forced to take shelter, said the Sûreté du Rhône.

The man ended up coming out of his apartment armed with the chopper and a knife before heading towards the police who neutralized him with taser shots.

At the hospital where he was taken, the suspect continued to threaten officials with death.

The psychiatric examination nevertheless revealed that he did not suffer from any mental disorder.

He was therefore imprisoned before being tried in immediate appearance on Tuesday afternoon.

During his custody, he said he remembered nothing.
