Cologne (dpa / lnw) - Ecstasy in peanut butter and marijuana as cat food: Customs has successfully completed a drug search on Easter weekend.
At the Cologne / Bonn airport alone, drugs worth more than 200,000 euros were seized.
"Instead of Easter eggs, we went online with ecstasy tablets in peanut butter and marijuana disguised as cat food," said customs spokesman Jens Ahland on Tuesday in Cologne.
More than eight kilograms of marijuana were packed airtight in cat food bags, and 12,200 ecstasy tablets were placed in peanut butter.
“The trend of hiding large amounts of drugs in just one package is clearly continuing.
What used to be less than 100 grams is now a few kilos, ”said Ahland.
