Körle (dpa / lhe) - A man who has been missing since the beginning of March drowned in an accident in the Fulda.

"After an autopsy of the 66-year-old dead man, there was no evidence of third-party fault," said a police spokesman on Tuesday.

The body was discovered last week in Körle (Schwalm-Eder district) by a boat driver on the embankment.

He had alerted the emergency services who recovered the dead person from the water.

The man left a clinic in Melsungen on March 4 and has been missing since then.

The body was autopsied on Thursday.

It is conceivable, for example, that the man slipped on the bank and fell into the river.

But this is no longer exactly understandable, said the spokesman.
