Manchester City took a 2-1 ascendancy over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.

Phil Foden narrowly returned the advantage to the team of Pep Guardiola (90th) who had already opened the scoring thanks to his captain Kevin De Bruyne (19th).

But the goal scored in the meantime by Marco Reus on a serve from Erling Haaland (84th) preserves the German chances for the return match in just over a week in the Ruhr (April 14).
