Bremen (AP) - Werder Bremen have to do without attacker Niclas Füllkrug in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup at SSV Jahn Regensburg.
The 28-year-old center forward broke a toe in the 0-1 defeat of the North Germans in the Bundesliga at VfB Stuttgart on Easter Sunday and is definitely out, said Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt on Tuesday.
For the upcoming SVW league game against RB Leipzig, a use is "not likely, but also not impossible".
Bremen will also have to do without defender Milos Veljkovic this Wednesday (6.30 p.m. / Sky and Sport 1).
The Serb continues to struggle with thigh problems and should be back against Leipzig.
Forward Joshua Sargent is available again after his yellow card suspension.
