Berlin (dpa) - Hesse’s Prime Minister Volker Bouffier is open to the proposal of his NRW colleague Armin Laschet (both CDU) to discuss the further course of action in the corona pandemic in a federal-state round in the next few days.

"I would be ready to bring the Prime Minister's Conference forward," said Bouffier to the editorial network Germany (RND / Tuesday).

“But then it would have to take place as a face-to-face event.

The aim must be an understanding between the countries. "

Laschet had proposed a quick and hard "bridge lockdown" in the next few days in the fight against the third corona wave.

To this end, the CDU chairman and North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister wants to bring forward the round of Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the Prime Minister planned for April 12th.

He also pleads for a meeting in attendance.

The chairman of the Prime Minister's Conference, Berlin's Governing Mayor Michael Müller (SPD), has already refused early consultations.

From his point of view, Laschet's proposal raises many questions that must first be clarified.
