“At the moment, 81 samples of the British strain and six of the South African ones have been isolated in Russia,” Izvestia newspaper quotes Popova.
According to her, all identified cases are imported.
She noted that at the moment more and more cases of the disease with these particular strains are recorded in the world.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova at the final board of Rospotrebnadzor assessed the situation with strains of coronavirus in the country.
