Russia Holds First Dress Rehearsal for 76th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

  China News Agency, Moscow, April 5 (Reporter Wang Xiujun) The Russian Defense Ministry announced on the 5th that the first rehearsal of the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Patriotic War in Russia was held on the outskirts of Moscow.

  In the middle of the night on May 8, 1945, Fascist Germany formally signed its surrender.

The Soviet Union designated May 9th of that year as the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War and has held commemorative events every year since then. The military parade is one of the most important events on Victory Day.

  The military parade for the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Russian Patriotic War in 2020 was postponed to June 24 due to the new crown epidemic.

Russian President’s Press Secretary Peskov previously revealed that this year’s Victory Day military parade will be held on May 9 as scheduled.

  According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 12,000 soldiers and more than 190 pieces of military equipment participated in the ground rehearsal of the day, and a total of 76 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters participated in the air formation rehearsal.

  The news emphasized that all military personnel participating in the rehearsal have voluntarily vaccinated against the new crown.

The premises and facilities are disinfected every day.

  According to the Russian "RBC" news network, this year’s military parade will use T72B3M, T80BVM, T90M and T14 "Amart" tanks, as well as Su 30SM, MiG 29, Tu 160, Tu 95 MS Su 35S, Su 34 and Su Military aircraft of 24M and other models.

  In addition, in addition to Moscow, the 76th anniversary of the Russian Patriotic War victory parade will also be held in 27 other cities, a total of more than 47,000 people, about 16,000 sets of military equipment and more than 200 aircraft will participate.
