The Interior Ministry announced that, on Sunday, 111,202 checks were carried out, with 2,643 penalties imposed and 12 complaints.

There were 14,797 commercial establishments controlled with 88 sanctioned owners and 34 closures.



In addition, the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza extended until the end of the month the limitations established by the ordinance of 30 March for all those who stayed or passed through in the fourteen days prior to entering Italy in one or more EU states and territories.

Measures that contain the obligation of a quarantine on return, even with negative swabs, for five days.



Checks in Rome


Checkpoints, especially on the main roads and consular posts leaving the capital, a dedicated task force to monitor the Roman coast and parks, evening checks in the typical nightlife spots and checks at public places and commercial activities, with particular attention to Irregular sale of alcoholic beverages: enhanced supervision by the patrols of the Local Police of Roma Capitale which, as early as Friday afternoon, were engaged on several fronts, with over 5,000 checks carried out in just over 24 hours.

More than 80 violations recorded.

The checks will go on for the whole day today and tomorrow, always in order to protect the health of the community.



Particular attention has been paid to the seafront of Ostia, to the parks and historic villas of the capital where, in addition to the patrols of the garrison, agents by bike are operative, especially in the places usually more frequented, in order to counteract the formation of possible gatherings.



The most reported offenses concerned the illegal sale of alcohol beyond the allowed time, the administration of drinks inside the premises, the failure to use protective devices and travel without valid reason.



With regard to two activities, the 5-day closure measure was carried out.

During the checks, two people were denounced for resistance and insult to a public official.
