Alzey (dpa / lrs) - A passenger fell off a motorcycle on Easter Sunday while driving, which, according to the police, was traveling too fast.

The 39-year-old driver was driving at excessive speed on the L401 from Alzey in the direction of Mauchenheim, the police said.

Between the Freimersheim junction of the A63 and the confluence with Mauchenheim, the passenger lost their grip on the straight stretch and fell off the motorcycle.

When the police and rescue workers arrived, she was available and said she had only suffered minor injuries.

As a precaution, she was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter for further examination.
