The Polish Hubert Hurkacz, 37th in the world, to everyone's surprise won the first Masters 1000 of his career in Miami, beating Sunday in the final 7-6 (7/4), 6-4 the Italian Jannik Sinner, 31st in the world.
At 24, he won his third title on the ATP circuit, after those gleaned in Winston-Salem (North Carolina) in 2019 and in Delray Beach (Florida) at the beginning of the year.
In the next ATP ranking, he will enter the Top 20 (16th) for the first time in his career.
