Oldenburg (dpa / lni) - The EWE Baskets Oldenburg celebrated the highest away win in club history.
The Lower Saxony prevailed on Easter Sunday with 116: 66 (48:32) against s.Oliver Würzburg.
The best thrower in coach Mladen Drijencic's team was Keith Hornsby, who scored 25 points.
New signing Tomislav Gabric was also strong on his debut, adding 20 points to the success.
The 25-year-old Croatian international had switched from the Polish club Enea Astoria to the Lower Saxony Bundesliga team and is to replace the injured Nathan Boothe there.
"It was not easy for us to leave our families on the holidays and go to work," said Drijencic about the game.
“But it was also an additional motivation for us to make the most of the 40 minutes and play.
The last 20 minutes were very dominant and successful, not only offensively but also in defense. "
