Televised debates, campaign to call for votes, and also FFP2 tests and masks during the poll: the number two of LFI Adrien Quatennens on Sunday set conditions for the maintenance of regional elections in June in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The government confirmed this week that it favored "at this stage" the maintenance on June 13 and 20 of regional and also departmental elections, on which it will consult the political parties before a debate in Parliament.

"We are going to be for the conditioned maintenance," Adrien Quatennens told BFMTV.

First of all, "a real campaign" and "ensure that the public audiovisual sector is used to organize three debates between the candidates at the regional level", he detailed.

The state should also send voters "a circular" a month before the deadline to explain the issue.

The deputy from the North also suggests "organizing a public campaign to call for a vote" to prevent abstention.

Are the members of the polling stations vaccinated?

On the voting operations themselves, he recommends "that the members of the offices be vaccinated as a priority" and that "in the 72 hours before, everyone can take a test".

At the entrance to each polling station, more filtering FFP2 masks should also be offered.

"We could ensure that the most vulnerable people have a reserved slot" and again split in two the day of the poll to go and vote in alphabetical order, he adds, in line with the recommendations of the Scientific Council to the government.
