These days last year, the audience was surprised by a new dramatic experience called "Ala Ana", the series whose makers stated that it will include 6 separate stories, based on real stories and present painful women's issues, each with a special title and consisting of 10 episodes with different heroes.

The first and second stories were shown before Ramadan 2020, but they did not attract attention, as everyone was waiting for the series that will compete on the screen in the holy month on the one hand, and on the other the world was new to the Corona pandemic and everyone is preoccupied with what is happening, led by fear and anticipation.

Then the matter changed quickly, as soon as the rest of the stories were re-presented after several months, especially that the stories were more dramatic and starring stars that may be closer to the hearts of the viewers, such as Hanan Mutawa, Kinda Alloush, Jamila Awad and Reham Abdel Ghafour.

With the news of several stories published by the search engine Google or Twitter, the most famous of which is the series of "Quarter of Karat" episodes, after which the Egyptian women called for a law banning polygamy, the work makers decided to add two more stories, bringing the total to 8 stories, before they announced, at the end of the work, their intention to present A second part with new stories soon.

Tradition or investment for success?

It seems that the success of the experiment encouraged "Synergy for Artistic Production" to repeat it, and even motivated others to do the same, as 3 series based on the same idea are now shown.

The first is the series "Zay Al Qamar", which includes 3 women's stories as well, each of which consists of 5 episodes. The heroine of the first story is Ilham Shaheen, the second one is starring Jumana Murad, while the third is starring Laila Elwi, which gives the work artistic weight, but Will it be due?

As for the second, the series "Wara Kul Bab" written by Baher Dewidar, which includes separate stories each of them consists of 5 episodes as well, although the difference is that the stories belong to the category of general social drama, and do not shed light on women alone.

Finally, the series "Helwa Al-Dunia Sukkar", by its heroine Hana Al Zahid, in her first absolute championship, the work includes 9 stories, each of which is shown over the course of a week, each of which has different young heroes.

A heavy dose of melodrama

With the exception of the "Hana Al Zahid" series, which was a comedy, the other two works presented an intense dose of melodrama to the audience, which is indispensable these days, especially since some stories seemed unnecessarily harsh, as if the aim was to turn the audience's sympathy and force them to cry, in particular the series "Wara" Every door. "

Similar to the series "Zi Al-Qamar", which was also painful and full of tragedy, but unfortunately it presented a real bitter reality that Arab women are experiencing, and perhaps that is what made it more honest, successful and striking.

Without forgetting, of course, his artistic superiority, whether at the level of writing or acting and even directing and the soundtrack that was very appropriate and distinctive.

The miniseries invade the screens

However, even if these works succeed in achieving the high viewership they seek, or topping social media platforms, the idea of imitation and circling in the astronomy itself remains vulgar and technically immature, and the most important thing is that it will quickly bored the audience, and lose the essence of the work.

Therefore, although the series "Hilwa Al-Dunia Sukkar" may not be the strongest artistically, but it is the most diligent of its makers, on the one hand the work played on the theme of separate short stories, which was appropriate for the era of speed and addiction to foreign broadcasting platforms, and on the other hand the series was able to Gives a smile on the faces of the viewers they desperately need, after the reality has become more dramatic than we can imagine or bear.

It is noteworthy that the Ramadan season itself will include many short 15-episode series, such as the series "Covid 25" by Youssef Al-Sharif, "Between Al-Sama and Al-Ard" by Hani Salama, "Flat 6 for Ruby, and" Best Father "by Ali Rabei, and" A Parallel World "by Donia Samir Ghanem.

In fact, the makers of the series "Les La", which we watched in 2020 and starring Amina Khalil, announced the start of filming a second part of the work, and a new women's crisis of the same type, whose championship was assigned to Menna Shalaby, so will they join the Ramadan Marathon 2021?
