During the conversation, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that "clear and strong diplomatic signals are now important to demotivate Moscow from further destructive steps."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French leader Emmanuel Macron via videoconference.

In the conversation, the head of Russia stressed the importance of the Kiev authorities fulfilling all the agreements previously reached at the highest level.
