Fallersleben (dpa) - After the collision of two locomotives in Wolfsburg, there are further disruptions on the section between Berlin and Hanover.

Delays and train cancellations are to be expected on Saturday, as Deutsche Bahn announced.

The reason for the impairment is the single-track rail traffic between Wolfsburg and Hanover.

Trains on the Berlin - Hanover - Bad Bentheim - Amsterdam route are affected - they are canceled in both directions between Berlin and Hamm (North Rhine-Westphalia).

Trains on the routes from Bonn / Cologne / Düsseldorf via Hamm and Hanover to Berlin and from Berlin to southern Germany / Switzerland are delayed in both directions.

Even travelers using trains on the Binz - Berlin - Hanover - Cologne route have to be prepared for delays in both directions.

"These impairments can be expected until the evening," said a spokesman for Deutsche Bahn on Saturday morning.
