Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - According to a media report, the Rhein-Neckar Löwen are said to have come to an agreement with the coach of choice Sebastian Hinze.

As the “Mannheimer Morgen” (Saturday) reported, the 41-year-old should take over the handball Bundesliga team in the summer of 2022.

The association has not yet confirmed this personality.

A few days ago, Hinze announced his departure from Bergisches HC in the summer of 2022, thus fueling speculation about an involvement with league rivals Rhein-Neckar Löwen.

His contract runs until 2022.

Löwen sports director Oliver Roggisch is said to have confirmed the “Mannheimer Morgen” talks with the coach.

The two-time German champion is looking for a successor to Martin Schwalb, who is leaving the club this summer for personal reasons.

If the lions get Hinze in 2022, they would need an interim solution.
