Mainz (AP) - Bundesliga soccer team FSV Mainz 05 threatens another failure of full-back Danny da Costa.
The 27-year-old, who is currently on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt to Rheinhessen, injured himself on Saturday in the final phase of the Bundesliga game against Arminia Bielefeld (1: 1) and remained on the ground with a pained face.
Coach Bo Svensson was initially unable to give a diagnosis of the injury.
Da Costa had injured his thigh two weeks ago in a 2-1 win at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
After the injury turned out to be not that bad, the professional was back in the squad this Saturday and was substituted on in the second half.
At first, Svensson was unable to say whether there was a risk of a longer retirement.
