Liv Nilsson Rapping from Asarum is in her final year of the nature program at Vägga upper secondary school in Karlshamn.

As a high school student, she studied the environmental impact of clothing - but did not know that through her report she would become part of the national team in research.

- I did not even look at the award ceremony, because I thought there was no chance that I would win, she says.

Will compete in the WC

She submitted her high school work on the recommendation of her supervisor Louise Rietz, to Forsknings-SM, which is the country's largest science fair for young researchers.

Liv Nilsson Rapping went on to the semifinals and later finals, and was then selected with 14 other young people, as the most promising talents in science.

- I'm probably actually still in shock, it's completely sick that I could win, says Liv.

In May, she will be allowed to participate in the Research WC as part of the research national team.

Then different jurors will read her high school work and assess it and other contributions.

- It will be fun and educational to hear what other participants have researched too interesting.
