Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The Südwest-FDP has called on Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann to take the criticism of the green base seriously and to refrain from a renewed coalition with the CDU.

"Prime Minister Kretschmann should open the door for a traffic light again and protect the country from a state government in permanent crisis mode," said FDP state chairman Michael Theurer on Saturday to the German press agency in Stuttgart.

The leaders of the Greens and CDU wanted to set the course for a continuation of the joint coalition in Stuttgart on Saturday.

However, many members of the green state executive on Thursday initially opposed Kretschmann's and the exploration team's recommendation to join forces again with the CDU.

Instead, they wanted a traffic light with the SPD and FDP.

Only after a long break did the board of directors agree to Kretschmann's request that evening.

Theurer explained that Kretschmann could not simply wipe off the table the persistently harsh criticism of the Green Youth for a re-edition of Green-Black.

"Because it is only a first foretaste of the impending long-term anxiety and frustration that a standstill coalition with a union sunk knee-deep in the mask and Azerbaijan scandal will still generate."

For example, the former Bavarian CSU Justice Minister Alfred Sauter is being investigated for corruption in the course of the mask affair.

In addition to the CSU man, there are other Union MPs suspected of corruption, some of whom have already resigned from the CDU and CSU because of this.

It is about politicians who have received commissions themselves or through their companies for arranging corona protective masks or who are suspected of having paid influence in favor of the Caucasus Republic of Azerbaijan.
