- We suspect that he was one of the robbers at this time, says Kjell Jannesson, prosecutor in the case.

It was in August that two people robbed a grocery store in Böda, on northern Öland.

A 31-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards and sentenced in early March for aggravated robbery, to six years in prison.

But all the while, the police have been looking for his accomplice, who has been detained in his absence and internationally wanted.

On Wednesday, he was arrested outside Båstad.

- After a certain hunt, they caught him.

Robbery and theft

Today, Kalmar District Court decided to detain the man, who is in his 25s, on probable cause on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

He is also suspected of aggravated theft in two cases - he is said to have stolen the car that was used in the robbery.

The suspect denies the crime.

Kjell Janneson believes that the investigation will be completed within a month.

- It feels great and nice for the plaintiffs to get a real end to this, he says.
