Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - One raced with 80 things through the 30 zone, another with 199 kilometers per hour at a permitted 100 km / h on the autobahn: On Good Friday during a targeted action in Hesse, the police had speeders and posers out of the Traffic pulled.

Some cars were confiscated, the police announced on Saturday evening.

In many cities in Germany, car tuners, car posers and speeders meet every year on Good Friday for “Car Friday”.

In Wiesbaden, drivers were noticed by massive acceleration in crowded locations, it said.

"They drifted around corners ... and let their exhaust systems pop on purpose."

The driver of a sports car accelerated very strongly several times - to around 100 km / h in town and to around 80 km / h in the 30 zone on Rheingaustrasse.

After they stopped the car, the officers found a familiar face in the passenger seat: "There was a speeder who had already been convicted of an illegal motor vehicle race."

In total, the police in Wiesbaden secured five vehicle keys preventively.

A car hit the B49 not only because of “considerably excessive speed”.

The car driving from Limburg in the direction of Weilburg also had an exhaust that was clearly too loud.

After stopping signals from a civil patrol, he accelerated to over 190 km / h - and his driving style put uninvolved people in danger several times.

The civil patrol was finally able to slow down the car.

Both the driver and the passenger then fled on foot - but could be caught and arrested.

The reason for their attempt to escape quickly became clear: the car in the possession of the passenger was not registered, it had stolen license plates, according to the police.

The 24-year-old driver did not have a valid driver's license and is suspected of having driven under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
