02 April 2021Maximum alert in Washington, where Capitol Hill is in lockdown, after two policemen were injured near the US Congress building, hit by a car.
The driver of the car was stopped and arrested after being injured. The conditions of the injured officers have not yet been disclosed.
According to an initial reconstruction, as we read in the US media, the car would have crashed into one of the barriers placed to protect the Capitol Hill area after having hit the two agents. The driver would then get out of the vehicle, perhaps with a knife in his hands, at which point shots would have gone off. But there is currently no official confirmation.
