Erfurt (dpa / th) - The corona situation in Thuringia remains tense at the beginning of the Easter holidays.

On Good Friday, the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was almost 255, according to figures from the Robert Koch Institute.

The Free State is thus the only country in Germany with a seven-day incidence of over 200. Nationwide, the value was 134 (as of April 2, 3:08 a.m.).

From Thursday to Friday, health officials reported 869 new infections and 30 deaths.

In the district of Greiz, the district most severely affected by the pandemic in Germany, the incidence value, according to the Robert Koch Institute, was 555 (previous day: 599.6).

In second place is the Wartburg district with a value of 410.2 (440).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,367 people infected with the coronavirus have died in Thuringia.

A total of around 96,262 people were infected.
