The Ministry of Education recently issued the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Sleep Management of Primary and Secondary School Students", clearly setting out three important periods.

Necessary sleep time: Elementary school students should sleep 10 hours a day, junior high school students should reach 9 hours, and high school students should reach 8 hours.

School work and rest time: The morning class time in primary schools is generally no earlier than 8:20, and in middle schools generally no earlier than 8:00.

If conditions permit, the necessary lunch break should be guaranteed.

Bedtime: Generally no later than 21:20 for elementary school students, no later than 22:00 for junior high school students, and no later than 23:00 for high school students.
