A team of doctors had just started heart surgery in the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk when a fire broke out in the hospital.
The doctors decided that the patient would not be able to move and chose to continue the operation.
"We needed to save this person and we did everything we could," heart surgeon Valentin Filatov told Russian state television.
