Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - On the 15th anniversary of the death of NSU victim Mehmet Kubaşık next Sunday, the alliance “Day of Solidarity” calls for the memory of the victims of right-wing terror.

The kiosk operator of Turkish origin and father of three was murdered in his shop in Dortmund on April 4, 2006 at the age of 39 by the right-wing extremist terrorist cell NSU.

In memory of him and other victims of right-wing and racist violence, a rally is to take place on Sunday in compliance with the Corona rules at the memorial for those killed near Dortmund Central Station, announced the alliance “Day of Solidarity - No Closing Line”.

It is important to them to keep the memory of Mehmet Kubaşık alive and to demand comprehensive clarification together with the family, said the organizers of the German Press Agency.

To date, neither political nor social consequences have been drawn from the NSU complex.

Right-wing violence is repeatedly played down, while those affected and their relatives are stigmatized.

These "conditions are what make right-wing and racist violence possible again and again," said a spokesman for the alliance.

The city of Dortmund announced that the family would meet in quiet memory on Sunday.

The terrorists Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt, who murdered ten people between 2000 and 2007, called themselves NSU.

The victims were eight small business owners of Turkish origin, one of Greek origin and one policewoman.

The accomplice Beate Zschäpe was convicted in 2018.
