Losheim am See (dpa / lrs) - When colliding with a car, a quad driver in Losheim am See was thrown from his vehicle.
The 24-year-old man was seriously injured, as the police announced on Friday.
Previously, a driver had followed the quad driver and his companion, who was also traveling in such an off-road vehicle.
The 64-year-old driver wanted to confront both of them because they were unauthorized with their quads on his property.
After the quad drivers did not stop, the owner of the property took up the chase with the car.
When the man started to overtake the quad in front of him on a dirt road, the crash occurred.
The off-road vehicle was run over.
The quad rider had to be taken to a clinic, seriously injured.
The driver was unharmed.
He now has to face a criminal complaint, as a police spokesman said.
