Chadian opponent Saleh Kebzabo, who is campaigning for a boycott of the April 11 presidential election, plans to hold a large rally on a vacant lot in front of his home in Ndjamena on Friday.

The gathering was banned by order of the government delegate general to the capital.

Saleh Kebzabo denounces a violation of his rights.

He persists and signs.

When he wrote to the mayor of Ndjamena to inform him of the organization of this meeting, the opponent thought that it would only be a "

simple formality

 ".

It must be said that for more than a week, Saleh Kebzabo and the executives of his party UNDR have increased the number of meetings and other public meetings across the country, during which

they call for a boycott of the presidential election of April 11

, without no problem so far.

The President of the Electoral Commission, Kodo Mahamat Bam, moreover explained a few days ago on RFI that like any other candidate, the opponent was "

free to conduct his campaign as he wishes

 ".

Hence his “

great surprise

” two days ago when he saw his letter to the mayor of the Chadian capital come back to him with an annotation saying that his meeting “

is not authorized

” by order of the general delegate of the government to the city , on the grounds that he "

withdrew his candidacy

" from the presidential election.

However, the Supreme Court of Chad did not take this withdrawal into account and maintained it against its will in the presidential race, and his name and his photo appear prominently on the ballot: it is candidate n ° 3.

It's a little cavalier in terms of form, and ubiquitous in substance,

" said Saheh Kebzabo, believing that this reflects the nervousness of the regime.

And he assures us that he will hold his meeting, no matter what.
