Marie Portolano, former Canal + and co-director of the documentary "I am not a slut, I am a journalist", will host the tenth season of "Best pastry chef" on M6, the channel announced on Friday, confirming information from the Parisian.

She will succeed Julia Vignali, whose departure was announced last week, the host wishing to devote herself to "television and film production projects" after four years on M6.

Specialized in sport for more than 10 years, Marie Portolano, 35, will also walk in the footsteps of Faustine Bollaert, at the helm of the first five seasons of the cooking show, alongside Cyril Lignac and blogger Mercotte.

In addition to "The best pastry chef", whose filming is to begin at the end of April for a broadcast this fall, other "premium projects (evening programs) of entertainment and music" will be entrusted to him, the channel told AFP .

Viewers will enjoy Julia Vignali one last time on M6 with the upcoming broadcast of the program "The best pastry chef: the professionals".

Known since early March, the arrival on M6 of Marie Portolano, after seven years on Canal +, marks a turning point in her career.

Passed by Eurosport, Orange Sport, C Foot (the ephemeral channel of the Professional Football League) and BeIN sport, the former host of the "Canal Football Club" (CFC) and the "Canal Sports Club" caused an earthquake in sports journalism with the broadcast, on March 21 on Canal +, of its documentary on the sexism of the environment.

Columnist Pierre Ménès has since been in turmoil for having lifted her skirt in front of the CFC audience in 2016 before, according to her, grabbing her buttocks.

Her departure from Canal +, "chosen" by the journalist, according to the encrypted channel, had arisen in the midst of the controversy over the fate of signatories, like her, of a petition in support of comedian Sébastien Thoen, dismissed from Canal + at the end of November for a parody targeting CNews, the group's news channel.

In mid-February, three Canal + sports freelancers were fired for having initialed the text.

And the commentator Stéphane Guy was ousted from the channel on Christmas Eve for paying tribute to the comedian on the air.
