Justice decided on Friday to reopen the case of a gendarme found dead in a Lyon barracks in 2011, at the request of his family who never believed in the official thesis of suicide for personal reasons.

On January 26, the general prosecutor had requested before the investigating chamber of the Lyon Court of Appeal the reopening of a judicial investigation for "harassment" and "manslaughter".

"Thanks to G. the asshole!"

"

The 32-year-old young woman was found on September 24, 2011 in her official apartment, a bullet in the stomach and her service weapon at her feet.

The version that has prevailed for a decade is that she committed suicide after learning that she would have to appear in court for two cases related to the practice of her profession.

Myriam Sakhri had, however, complained for months of being harassed by colleagues and her superiors.

A note found at his side, handwritten and written in these terms: "Thank you to G. the asshole!"

», Indicated the colonel who at the time commanded the Rhone gendarmerie.

The soldier worked there within the Operations and Intelligence Center (Corg), a service responsible for responding to calls from the public.
