Thanks to its success on Friday in Chartres (31-28), Montpellier provisionally returns to two points behind the Parisian leader, while Nîmes, also victorious on the road to Limoges (34-21), began its recovery operation perfectly, during the 21 day of the French handball championship.

The MHB, which led 16 to 12 at the break, was scared in the second half, when the premises returned to their height eight minutes from the end.

Patrice Canayer's men were able to react, in particular through the Swedish international Lucas Pellas, author of nine goals.

Chartres remains in 10th place, with six points ahead of the first eligible, Créteil.

Nîmes, which still hopes to finish on the podium, has largely dominated the promoted Limougeaud from start to finish, with an advantage of nine goals at half-time (19-10).

The Nîmes are replaced three points from their victim of the day, in 6th provisional place, but they played two games less than Montpellier and four less than Limoges.

The USAM had finished in 3rd place the previous year, interrupted after 18 days by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Limoges, which conceded its fourth defeat in a row, will have to react in its next match on the Ivry floor.

The 21st day continues this weekend with in particular the leader, Paris SG, which receives Chambéry on Sunday (5:00 p.m.).
