Leipzig / Augsburg (dpa / lby) - FC Bayern wants to make a preliminary decision in the fight for the championship.

If the team of coach Hansi Flick wins tonight (6.30 p.m. / Sky) at pursuer RB Leipzig, the next title for Munich should only be a matter of form.

League leaders FC Bayern must compete without the injured world footballer Robert Lewandowski.

"It's a challenge for all of us that we face," said Flick about the failure of the super striker.

Since Munich are four points ahead of Leipzig, they will definitely remain the front runners after the game.

FC Augsburg has completely different worries.

The Fuggerstadters want to keep away from the relegation ranks.

They are currently six points ahead of relegation position 16. With a win on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky) at home against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, they would overtake their rivals in the table.

"You have an incredible amount of potential," warned coach Heiko Herrlich.
