Koblenz (dpa / lrs) - At the start of the motorcycle season in Rhineland-Palatinate, the ADAC warned road users to be vigilant and to show mutual consideration.

After the winter months, motorists and motorcyclists would have to “get used to each other again”, said Herbert Fuss, Head of Traffic and Technology at ADAC Mittelrhein, according to a statement.

Rollsplit and unrecovered frost damage are also an increased risk for two-wheelers on the road.

Fuss also appealed to bikers to be considerate, especially in noise-sensitive sections.

"A strong and therefore noisy acceleration directly after a town is to be avoided in the interests of all residents."

The ADAC Mittelrhein recently started a nationwide pilot project with the support of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Interior and Transport and the State Office for Mobility.

In the Gelbach Valley, which is a popular destination for bikers with its winding roads, signs were installed to draw attention to sections of the route that are sensitive to noise.
