In early March, a 31-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison for the brutal shoplifting in Böda.

But a man who the prosecutor considers to have been an accomplice in the robbery was arrested in his absence in November, when he managed to stay away from the police - until now.

- He was arrested at 21.52 last night.

Not at home but in a nearby town on the west coast.

It's a bit of an Easter present, says prosecutor Kjell Janneson.

On the way to Kalmar

He does not yet have all the details about the arrest, but a police patrol must have seen the suspect who then tried to escape from the police.

But the police caught up and he is now on his way to the prison in Kalmar.

- We still believe that he has been in Kosovo, but in the last two weeks we have received indications that he would be in Sweden.

And now it seems that this information was really true, says Kjell Janneson.

Initial interrogations have been held with the man and on Saturday the arrest hearing will take place.

The prosecutor hopes to be able to bring charges within a month.
