Munich (dpa / lby) - Shoe stores in Bavaria are also allowed to open in areas with a seven-day incidence of over 100.

The Bavarian Administrative Court (VGH) ruled on Wednesday that shoe stores were one of the shops essential for daily supplies, a spokesman said on Thursday.

As a justification, the 20th Senate, which is responsible for infection protection law, referred to the fact that shoe shops are of comparable importance for supplying the population, such as bookstores, shops for baby supplies, DIY stores and garden centers, flower shops or insurance offices, which are expressly open according to the applicable regulation allowed to.

There are no legal remedies against the decision.

The «Spiegel» had previously reported on the decision.
