In his first interview since his acquittal, Charles Blé Goudé explains that he felt a great relief to be cleared.

He addressed his fellow citizens, "humbly asking forgiveness" from his "Ivorian brothers" for the violence of the past and to those whom he may have hurt or offended, saying he wanted to work for a real reconciliation of the country.

Charles Blé Goudé also appealed to the Ivorian authorities, hoping for an amnesty on their part, which would allow him to return to Côte d'Ivoire with Laurent Gbabgo.

He explains having gathered all the documents in order to obtain his Ivorian passport and is confident that the Ivorian authorities will soon issue him this document, a "political gesture" according to him.
