Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The state of Baden-Württemberg is initially withdrawing opening steps in schools due to the rapidly increasing number of corona infections after the Easter holidays.

In the first week from April 12, the primary school students and also the 5th and 6th grades will initially return to distance learning, as the Ministry of Culture announced to the schools in Stuttgart on Thursday.

Special education and advice centers remain open, and the final classes are also to be taught face-to-face in some cases.

In the week from April 19, all classes should alternately return to the schools, "if the infection rate allows it," wrote Ministerial Director Michael Föll.

Then there should also be a compulsory test for all students who take part in classroom lessons.
