A 56-year-old man was on trial Wednesday in immediate appearance before the Rennes criminal court.

The facts with which he was accused date back to March 22.

The tone was quickly raised and the individual had uttered racist insults against the woman who had left the home.

In a wheelchair, the fifty-year-old had pursued her before giving her two blows in the thigh.

Declared criminally irresponsible and hospitalized

A motorist and his daughter who had witnessed the scene had the victim get into their car.

The individual then took a gun out of his bag before firing at the vehicle, aiming at his home help.

Luckily, no one had been injured by the shots from the ball gun.

During the hearing, the defendant admitted the facts.

The court found him guilty but because of his mental state, he was declared criminally irresponsible.

He was hospitalized in a psychiatric unit after the trial.
