High voltage driving.

This is neither an April Fool's Day, nor a record.

However, the beautiful catch that the gendarmes of Oise made on Wednesday deserves to be highlighted.

They have indeed intercepted an electric vehicle for a very great speeding.

During the morning of Wednesday, the gendarmes of the Breteuil company were out to carry out speed checks on the departmental road 930, at the level of the town of Domeliers, between Amiens and Beauvais, in the Oise.

In Tesla at 182 km / h instead of 80 km / h

It was at 11 am that their best client of the day presented himself to them despite himself.

Using binoculars, the soldiers clocked at 182 km / h a red racing car rushing in their direction.

At this point, the maximum speed is limited to 80 km / h.

The motorist, who was driving a Tesla Model 3, an electric vehicle costing more than 40,000 euros, was logically stopped.

On the spot, the gendarmes fined him for "exceeding at least 50 km / h of the maximum authorized speed".

A sanction which was accompanied by a compulsory and immediate confiscation of the vehicle and the suspension of the driving license.

The motorist, who was in a bit of a hurry, therefore saw his racing car set off again on a flatbed truck.

He will also be summoned by the courts for a hearing during which the duration of his license suspension will be defined.
