Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) has scheduled a special meeting of her cabinet at short notice for this Thursday in view of the recent debates about corona vaccinations and the organization of the rapid tests.

The state chancellery in Schwerin announced that representatives of the municipalities and the medical profession would also take part in the consultations.

After Astrazeneca's corona vaccine was restricted to people over 60 years of age, the vaccination concept has to be revised.

For teachers, educators and police officers, who should primarily be protected against infection, alternatives have to be organized and the use of Astrazenca planned anew.

It is also important to clarify questions about the use of the corona rapid test, which will be mandatory for visits to most sales facilities in the country immediately after Easter.

Exceptions apply to food retailers, drug stores and post offices.
