After Emmanuel Macron's announcements on distance school for the week of April 5, and those from April 26 for colleges and high schools, school directors say they are confident in their ability to organize.

Much progress has been made in this area, both on the material side and among teachers.

A practice that has almost become commonplace.

A week of distance learning for all, two weeks of vacation for students from all over France before returning to school on April 26, but at a distance for colleges and high schools.

This is what Emmanuel Macron announced Wednesday evening for schools during a new "address to the French".

A year after the first distance learning, the principals are confident and claim to be completely able to switch from Tuesday to distancing.

Coronavirus: follow the evolution of the situation Thursday April 1

"We have made a lot of progress"

A process that is all the easier to set up when it comes to a short period, as is the case here.

Overall, the lessons have been learned since the first confinement, confirms at the microphone of Europe 1 Philippe Vincent, secretary general of the National Union of National Education Management Staff (SNPDEN).

"We have made a lot of progress on technical aspects, such as the power of the servers or the bandwidth. A lot of regions and departments have also equipped students with various and varied terminals," he explains.

But the material is not the only one to have progressed, since training courses have been set up for teachers.

So the challenge for the next few days will be to adapt the content.

"We are on the consolidation of learning, revisions of school work, but not on new learning in the degraded configuration that is distance education", explains Stéphane Crochet, secretary general of the UNSA union.
