Berlin (dpa / bb) - The police caught a suspected cocaine dealer who was traveling in a car in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

The officers had become aware of a 20-year-old on Wednesday evening, who first observed cars driving by and finally got into one, the police said on Thursday.

When the car later stopped on Sonntagstraße, the officers started a check.

Two test tubes filled with cocaine were found - one in the shelf in the passenger door and one in the 40-year-old driver's pocket with cash, which is typical of the scene.

While the 20-year-old alleged buyer was allowed to leave after his personal details had been determined, the evening was not over for the alleged dealer.

The judicial search of his home followed.

Not only large amounts of cash but also 48 other test tubes filled with cocaine and a precision balance were found.

A rapid drug test also showed positive for cocaine in the suspect.

The man is now being investigated for illicit traffic in narcotics and driving under the influence of narcotics.
