The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club announced the punishment of a young player who appealed to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, requesting that she be given the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games scheduled for next summer in Tokyo.

Al-Ahly imposed a fine of 10,000 pounds (about $ 663) on the two players here, Joudeh and Maryam Al-Hudhaibi, players of the club's table tennis team, and issued a strong warning to them.

The director of sports activity at Al-Ahly club, Raouf Abdel-Qader, said that the decision came in light of the investigation that took place with the two players on Wednesday, "for speaking inappropriately on social media, in a manner inconsistent with the club's policy and principles."

He confirmed that the penalty was reduced due to the young age of the two players, who committed this mistake for the first time.

Hana Judeh - who ranked first in the world in table tennis under the age of 15 - made an appeal on her Facebook account to Sisi and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi, in addition to the head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Hisham Hatab;

To allow her to participate in the Tokyo Olympics.

"Why do they see me so young, and that I must wait and leave my dream until I am older? Why shouldn't I be the youngest Egyptian player in the Tokyo Olympics?" Said Hana, 13.

Maryam Al-Hudhaibi responded to Hana Joudeh and demanded that she not be allowed to attend the Olympics because she did not meet the criteria for participating in the tournament, and Maryam said that she is entitled to be present in the Olympic Games next summer.
